Laureano, a sexologist, educator, and curriculum writer, work on a project that supports students, educators, and families in conversations about the Disability Rights movement. The project is based on the documentary "Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution." My task was to create a branding and layout for lesson plans that would help teachers understand disability justice, ableism, and power. To achieve this, I used the color scheme of the movie promotion and designed a new logo for the curriculum as well as a banner.
To make the project more engaging and interactive, I incorporated images and infographics to help visualize complex concepts related to the Disability Rights movement. As I continued the design process for Unified Cosmos, I focused on the brand's overall identity and how it could be incorporated into the sneaker design. I decided to use a bold and modern typeface for the logo, which would be featured prominently on the tongue of the shoe.
For the color scheme, I chose a deep red for the Mu Cephei design and a cool blue for the Asteroid Blues. These colors not only tie into the astrological inspiration of the brand but also create a striking contrast against the stark white of the sneaker.
In addition to the star illustration on the Mu Cephei design, I also included a constellation pattern on the upper part of the shoe. For the Asteroid Blues, I incorporated a subtle texture on the midsole that resembled the surface of a planet.

As a Graphic Designer, I have always been fascinated by the unique and vibrant culture of New York City, particularly the iconic bodegas that are so ingrained in the city's identity. As part of the team that worked on the website mock-up for the client inspired by the superhero Flash, my role as a Web Design Intern at Integrated Media Group (IMG) was crucial. I worked alongside a team of experienced designers to ensure that the website design met the client's expectations while also being practical and functional.
One of the most challenging aspects of the project was incorporating the superhero Flash's inspiration into the design without making it appear too overwhelming or distracting. We knew that the color scheme would play a crucial role in this. Hence, I suggested the use of an orange color scheme, which would help us to create a connection between the brand and the superhero character. The orange color also represents energy, enthusiasm, and creativity, which aligns with the brand's vision.
However, using just orange would be too overwhelming for the user, so I added black to the design to provide a contrast and break up the orange. The use of black also adds a sense of sophistication and elegance to the overall design. I was also able to implement lighting effects to further emphasize the superhero inspiration.
To ensure that the website design reflected the company's diversity, we incorporated various photos that represented different races, genders, and age groups. This was important as it created a sense of inclusivity, which was in line with the company's values.

I was contacted by my mother to create family vacation shirts. She wanted a tropical theme design with bright colors. So after some time of developing design, I decided to go with a beach theme.

We started the project by having a brainstorming session with the first-graders to get a better understanding of what they wanted in a playhouse. We used their ideas to create a prototype that we could then use to design the packaging.
To make the packaging more engaging and appealing to kids, we opted for a bright and colorful design that included images of different animals, plants, and other fun elements that the children had suggested. We made sure to use simple and playful typography to match the design and create an overall cohesive brand identity.

To improve the navigation experience for Johnson & Wales University students, I took up the challenge of creating a set of way-finders, and location guides, for the university campus. I drew on my own experience of struggling with the existing guides, which were confusing and difficult to navigate.
To begin the project, I conducted extensive research on the campus layout and existing way finders to understand their shortcomings. I realized that the current guides were not user-friendly and lacked visual appeal, making it difficult for students to find their way around campus.
To address this issue, I decided to create a set of digital responsive way-finders that would be easy to use and visually appealing. I began by following the brand standard of the university and utilizing the official colors to maintain consistency with the university's branding.
I then designed a set of way-finders that featured a clear and intuitive layout, with an easy-to-read typeface and clear icons. I wanted to ensure that the guides would be accessible to all students, including those with visual impairments, so I made sure to use a color scheme that was easy to distinguish for people with color blindness.
