I had the opportunity to design promotional materials for the Brooklyn Community Baby Shower, an initiative spearheaded by Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso. This event was created to support new and expecting parents in Brooklyn neighborhoods with some of the highest maternal mortality and morbidity rates. By providing essential resources, health screenings, and educational workshops, the event aimed to improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
My role in this project involved developing a cohesive visual identity across multiple platforms, including social media graphics, event posters, and digital invitations. The design concept focused on warmth, inclusivity, and community support, incorporating soft pastel color palettes, playful yet professional typography, and imagery that reflected the joy of new beginnings. Each element was carefully crafted to be visually appealing while ensuring clear communication of key event details.
To maximize outreach, I designed materials optimized for both print and digital formats, ensuring accessibility across different media channels. The promotional campaign successfully increased event awareness, leading to a strong turnout and engagement from local families. This project reinforced the impact of thoughtful, strategic design in amplifying important social initiatives and fostering stronger community connections.
