To make the design more premium and eye-catching, I decided to incorporate metallic accents to the packaging, using a gold foil for the logo and product name. I also added a subtle embossing effect to the logo, giving it a raised and textured appearance. The packaging design also included a clear window that showcased the product, allowing the customer to see what they were buying.
To promote the product, I created an online advertisement campaign that included social media posts and a short video showcasing the hair pick's features and benefits. In the video, I included Questlove using the hair pick and demonstrating how it worked with his iconic Afro hairstyle. I also created a hashtag, #PickYourStyle, to encourage customers to share their hairstyles using the hair pick on social media.
Furthermore, to expand the product line, I designed a series of hair picks with different illustrations of prominent people with unique hairstyles. These picks were intended to celebrate diversity and showcase various hair types and textures. The illustrations included iconic figures such as Snoop Dogg, Frida Kahlo, and Bob Marley.
In addition, I collaborated with a local hair salon to sell the product and promote it through their social media and website. The salon displayed the hair picks at the front desk, and each purchase included a free hairstyle consultation with one of their stylists. The collaboration was a success and helped promote the product to a wider audience.
