To create an effective campaign that would resonate with the student population, my partner and I had to think creatively and strategically. We began by researching voter demographics and identifying the challenges that young voters face when it comes to political engagement. We learned that many young people feel disillusioned with the political system and may not see the relevance of voting in their daily lives.
To combat this perception, we wanted our advertisement to be bold, eye-catching, and impactful. We used a mix of typography and imagery to create a visually appealing design that would grab the attention of students passing by. We also incorporated the Johnson & Wales University branding and colors to ensure that the advertisement was recognizable and relatable to our audience.
To reach students who were not yet registered to vote, we decided to use social media as our primary platform. We created a series of posts with different slogans and graphics, encouraging young voters to take action and make their voices heard. We also collaborated with student organizations on campus to host voter registration drives and spread the word about our campaign.
Our campaign received positive feedback from the student community, with many expressing appreciation for our efforts to raise awareness about the importance of voting. In the end, our message resonated with many young voters, as we saw an increase in voter turnout among college students in the following election cycle. It was a great experience to use design to create a positive impact on our campus community.
